Research PapersThere are many reasons why volunteer work is of great importance in Georgia Tech's community, especially when it comes to undertaking research papers. This form of study is challenging and involves a lot of planning, resourcefulness and motivation.Of course, the first major consideration would be finances. A student would not have the funds that he or she needs for research purposes unless they take a job. Sometimes, a job itself may not be possible.Other times, the student may be able to take a position but might be unable to take a job application because he or she has already taken up a different project. Even if a student does not have the budget for the same kind of position, he or she can still do research. All that is needed would be access to computers and the Internet. If this is not enough, the student may also be able to share resources with others in order to generate knowledge.Of course, Georgia Tech volunteer work is not only limited to research papers. I t also includes studies in nursing, psychology, business, chemistry, business administration, public relations, and even mathematics.For instance, if a student desires to pursue a particular area of study, he or she may apply for a grant. If he or she is awarded one, he or she will be able to use it to further his or her studies. The grant money could be used for school fees, books, or for other expenses as well.In most cases, the students applying for the grants will be evaluated based on several factors. This includes the amount of work experience they have done, the amount of financial assistance they received in the past, and also the completion rate of their work. The evaluation usually requires some time, but it will be worth it once the student is granted the grant.Once the student receives the grant, he or she will have to decide what he or she would like to do with the money. Usually, the students will choose to use the grant funds for their studies. Others may choose to us e the money for a specific purpose such as purchasing a house, buying a car, or even funding travel to events such as conferences.Although the number of Georgia Tech student volunteers doing volunteer work is small, it still makes a big difference to the whole community. Students who have enough confidence to step out and work to make great contributions to the study of the natural sciences at Georgia Tech.
